A hearty blend of nine spices that enrich even the simplest of rice dishes. Also great in mashed potatoes and beef stew. This recipe is perfect as a side dish with any meat.
Needed: 2 tbsp. butter, 2 tbsp. olive oil, 1 cup rice, 2 cups water, 1/2 cup white wine, about 1 oz - 1.5 oz Nine Spice for Rice blend, or to taste (extra chopped onions are optional).
Sautee the rice in butter and olive oil until it starts to brown. Stir often. Add Nine Spice for Rice mix packet, water and wine. Bring to a boil. Cover and simmer until rice is cooked and liquid is absorbed (20-30 minutes).
Ingredients: Onion, Parsley, Garlic, Paprika, Pepper, Basil, Marjoram, Thyme & Rosemary.
