Nine Spice for Rice

A hearty blend of nine spices that enrich even the simplest of rice dishes. Also great in mashed potatoes and beef stew. This recipe is perfect as a side dish with any meat. Needed: 2 tbsp. butter, 2 tbsp. olive oil, 1 cup rice, 2 cups water, 1/2 cup white wine, about 1 oz - 1.5 oz Nine Spice for Rice blend, or to taste (extra chopped onions are optional). Sautee; the rice in butter and olive oil until it starts to brown. Stir often. Add Nine Spice for Rice mix packet, water and wine. Bring to a boil. Cover and simmer until rice is cooked and liquid is absorbed (20-30 minutes). Ingredients: Onion, Parsley, Garlic, Paprika, Pepper, Basil, Marjoram, Thyme, Rosemary and Beef Soup (contains salt).
