Pieces of the dried inner bark of the cassia tree native to S.E. Asia. The flavor of cassia is preferred in the U.S. over the true Ceylon cinnamon. May be added to loose tea leaves before brewing for a wonderful cinnamon flavor. For coffee lovers, add 2-3 tsps. to your ground coffee before brewing. Delicious! Mix with orange peel, whole allspice, and whole cloves for an outstanding mulling spice blend.
